I advise MSc students in TNO: 1 finished, 2 ongoing
[Jul ’19] Build Radio Controlled cars fleet for testing Platooning algorithms – Project for extra credits in TUDelft
Built a fleet of cars packed with sensors (e.g. Ultrasonic, Lidar) and communication capabilities (e.g. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
Assembled 3D printed chassis and electric motors
Connect/soldered all sensors, actuators and batteries to ESP32 Arduino
Wrote a tutorial and troubleshooting guide
Resultant robots are used in an algorithms course in TUDelft.
[Jun ’19] HackDelft Team Winner in Fault Detection Category
Created website for real-time sensor monitoring in train tracks.
Monitor thousands of sensors simultaneously via event database, and detect faults with basic parameter thresholding via statistics learned from training data.
Emulated in 24h a product that the company actually offered.
[Jan ’19] Co-founder of “Talks with Potential” – a series of talks from alumnus to show students of EE what they can do in the future
6 successful talks organized throughout the semester – topics ranged from “ISTSat-1 – The first portuguese low-orbit cube satellite” to “Using drones for autonomous infrastructure flaws and cracks detection”.
[Jun ’18 – Oct ’18] Internship in JANZ Water meters
Built Magnetometer to probe small magnets responsible for coupling between turbine and clockwork.
Programmed a Texas MSP430 microcontroller in C
Soldered every component into a PCB
Designed, prototyped and 3D printed a case.
The device was used to study the distribution of magnetization helping the company to perfect their product, and to perform a more thorough quality control.
Tested the coverage of water meter radios with LoRa antennas and performed propagation simulations.
Everything was summed with an extensive statistical analysis and a presentation to the company’s administration board.

Profile:
(From 13 Jan 2022) Passionate to learn and improve people’s lives through technology.
(From my 2019 CV) Despite deeply interested in technology, wireless communications mainly, I grew to love people. I like to have great conversations and get my point/arguments clearly and eloquently across. Travelling made me spontaneous, honest and a diversity embracer. While always eager to learn, I find that doing it with a team is more dynamic and fun. I have been involved in various sports from a young age, competed at a national level and exercise daily. Thus I am disciplined and dedicated. Innately curious, hard-work addicted and self-motivated. I am incapable of not doing my best. Along with a focused work ethic, I always face life with enough humor and positivity.
